Print with the Masters of the Past

A printing workshop with graphic artist Zoltán Jánváry

Print Renaissance woodcuts using period printing techniques, a reconstructed printing press, and carved woodblocks. With the help of our printing blocks, participants can make prints from a page of the Vizsoly Bible, from a detail of Albrecht Dürer’s engraving depicting Desiderius Erasmus Roterdamus, from the magic square featured in Dürer’s engraving Melencolia I, and from a lion illustration found in the seventeenth-century natural history book by Jan Jonston.
